A downloadable game

Snake game with Ikaruga scoring rules.  Eat fruits of the same color as the snake to gain points, eat 3 fruits of the same color for chain bonus.

  • Change direction: Up/Down/Left/Right
  • Change color: A/B
  • Change speed: Crank
  • Reset high score: select from menu

Note that crank must remain undocked for the speed change to take effect.

This is a port of my TRICK 2022 entry to the Playdate console.

Install instructions

For Playdate console owners, you can sideload the game by dropping the zip file to your account, and have Playdate find it via settings->games.

You can also unzip the archive and run snake.pdx with the simulator that is included in the Playdate SDK.  The simulator can also upload the game to the console via USB.
